When students see things clearly, they learn faster.  Lumens' superior optic technology means that the DC265  produces a crystal clear view of any book or object.  

The Lumens DC265 is a high-definition multimedia document camera with 6x optical zoom and up to 1080p resolution.

• High Resolution: The Ladibug Model DC265 offers multiple output resolution settings, including UXGA (1600x 1200), SXGA (1280 x 1024), XGA (1024 x 768) and HDTV (1080p/720p).
• Powerful zoom lens: The DC265 includes 6x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, as well as a flexible gooseneck manual zoom feature that allows the camera head to be adjusted closer to any object. The DC265 can display pictures more than 60 times larger than the original so students can clearly observe the details of small objects.
• Larger shooting area: With a 16 x 12 capture area, the DC265 can capture even large-format books.

Easy to Use - Allows Teacher to Focus on Teaching Content and Hold Students' Attention 

Designed with educators in mind, the Lumens DC265 is intuitive and simple to operate. The document camera can perform many key functions without additional software, reducing time spent turning on a PC or loading software. The DC265 also simplifies many functions to let educators focus on the content they are presenting and the experience of the students rather than waste time re-shuffling and repositioning materials. 

• One-touch video recoding and Playback: Recording lessons, in-class demonstrations, or student performances is easy with DC265's hardware-based recording function and built-in microphone. With the push of a button, teachers can record videos with synchronized audio and then play back recorded lessons and demonstrations immediately by pushing one more button. The unit automatically stores the content on an SD card. When giving a demonstration, teachers can simply press the record button and start the lesson. The students see the demonstration in real time on a projector screen. Once the lesson is recorded, teachers can play it back as often as needed to accommodate students' learning needs, freeing up the teacher to work with individual students at the same time. In addition, this function can be used to record students reading aloud, or giving performances, by tilting up the camera head. By playing these recordings back, students can see and hear themselves - an effective invitation to self-evaluation.

• FastSlide" technology: The DC265 features the industry's best slide loading speed - up to 300 slides per minute. Educators can know that they will capture students' attention without losing valuable teaching time to loading slides. Educators can also use the DC265 to capture images, take time- lapse photos, and create slide shows (all from a single button without software). In addition, built-in transition effects make presenting a professional-looking slide show instantaneous and effortless.

• Five-step book mode: The full-rotation capability, the new five-step book mode, plus a larger shooting area, allow teachers to position their materials under the camera, and quickly zoom to the desired area. 

• Microscope mode: With the included microscope adapter, display the contents of a slide under the microscope to the entire class.

Seamless Integration with Modern Classroom Equipment

The DC265 works seamlessly with modern classroom equipment, including interactive whiteboards, HDTVs, and projectors.

• Integration with interactive whiteboards: The DC265 supports high-speed USB for data transfers of up to 480 Mbps - providing seamless transfer of real-time presentations onto a whiteboard. As a result, teachers are now able use the document cameras to integrate real-life materials into their electronic curriculum, add an element of surprise into classroom demonstrations and take full advantage of all equipment.

In addition, DC265 supports both WIA and TWAIN interfaces, and includes a software utility designed for both Windows and Mac operating systems. The DC265 provides seamless integration with all leading interactive whiteboards, such as Hitachi StarBoard®, mimio®, Promethean, and Smart Board". 

With an HDMI interface and the ability to deliver 1080p resolution, the DC265 is truly HDTV-compatible. In addition, with the unique Dynamic Noise Reduction Technology for DLP projectors, the DC265 provides clear images and eliminates projector noise on still images.   

Hassle-Free Maintenance

Lumens' unique security features (including lock-down, wipe clean and auto back-up options) make it easier for schools to share equipment between multiple teachers while simplifying equipment management and maintenance. Lock-down prevents unauthorized usage, while the auto back-up allows educators to easily and quickly copy images onto an SD card. The wipe clean option helps prevent leaks of sensitive content by allowing for automatic deletion of content between uses.
